Just days after announcing that its flagship program Monday Night Raw is moving to Netflix, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) revealed today that its second-biggest show, SmackDown, will soon stream on social-media juggernaut TOUT.
“Quite frankly, Netflix only wanted one show,” said WWE honcho Vince McMahon. “So when it comes to SmackDown, let’s TOUT it out, and things of that nature,”
TOUT is the groundbreaking, dazzling 2011 social media app that allows users to share — or “TOUT out” — 15-second video clips, which McMahon said is “clearly the wave of the future.”
Starting in March, WWE fans will be able to watch SmackDown exclusively on TOUT. Due to technical restrictions, however, SmackDown matches will be given 15-second time limits.
