Just a day after the superstars of WWE Smackdown launched a sneak-attack on the rival wrestlers of Monday Night Raw, both rosters were besieged by a third invading faction — this time from WCW Thunder.

Led by former ECW head Eric Bischoff, cabal of Thunder wrestlers — including Tank Abbot, Disco Inferno, Paul Roma, Buff Bagwell and Juventud Guerrera, among others — stormed into a brawl already underway among the Raw and Smackdown rosters.

Wearing multicoloured Zubaz pants and fannypacks, the WCW wrestlers swung steel chairs and punched with coal-miners’ gloves, determined to prove that their brand, albeit defunct, remains the best in sports entertainment, and that Thursdays are the best nights for televised wrestling.

The WCW invaders were quickly escorted away by security.

According to backstage rumors, an attempted invasion by the stars of Impact Wrestling was thwarted when none of the wrestlers could determine for Impact Wresting still existed this week.

The roster of NXT, meanwhile, sat quietly in the catering area, unwilling to jeopardize their chances at one day earning six-figure salaries.
