Fans of American football are gearing up for their annual half-baked rip-off of WrestleMania, blissfully unaware that football is a fake sport in which all the outcomes are predetermined.

Football fans are derisively known as “marks” by football players (or “workers,” in industry lingo), because fans believe football is an actual athletic contest.

The Super Bowl is the football’s biggest pay-per-view of the year, packed with celebrity appearances and the big “blow-off” match to end the long feud between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles (a match-up being billed as “Once in a Lifetime”).

A so-called “booker” writes the script for each game, and a backstage “agent” goes over the key “spots” and the “finish.”

A leaked NFL script reveals that the Eagles will win 39-37 via Dusty finish.
