Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister who stepped down this week after achieving nationwide “X-Pac heat,” is reportedly hoping to parlay his good looks and innate duplicity into a new gig with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Sources within WWE reveal that Trudeau hopes to make an appearance at WWE’s WrestleMania event in Las Vegas in April, potentially in a match against WWE Hall of Famer and incoming US President Donald Jimmyjam Trump.
“Paul (Levesque, WWE executive) believes this could be the biggest match ever,” said one source, who, for the of anonymity, asked to be identified only as Vinnie.
A leaked transcript of a recorded phone call between Trudeau and Paul “Triple H” Levesque purportedly includes discussion of a lucrative seven-figure contract for Trudeau, whose face Levesque describes as “lucratively punchable.”
WWE is expected to officially announce Trudeau’s contract during a livestream starting momentarily.
